Parkville is a suburb of Kansas City, located in the Northwest section right on the Missouri River. I lived there for a few years in the mid 1980's. It's a nice little place, home then to Park College, now Park University.
In 1991 Parkville started kicking off the Christmas season with a big event, blocking off Main Street and bringing in lots of fun. These pictures are from the 10th Annual celebration held, logically enough, November 30th - December 2nd 2001.
I mostly go for the fireworks so I didn't get as many shots of the other events as I would have if they'd been my focus. Fortunately Parkville has an official photographer covering the event.
